Electrical and Electronics Engineering · Double Major: Computer Science · Minor: Mechanical Engineering

I work on rover software, embedded systems, and security testing. Currently leading the computer science subteam at ÖzÜ Rover.

Özyeğin University, Istanbul

About

I study electrical & electronics engineering at Özyeğin University, double majoring in computer science and minoring in mechanical engineering (2024–2029, GPA 3.31/4.00), on the EFEB merit scholarship. I work between embedded hardware and the software that drives it — right now that means leading the computer science subteam of ÖzÜ Rover, finalists at the European Rover Challenge and Anatolian Rover Challenge in 2025.

Before university: a Surgical Assistant Robot research project, a TEKNOFEST 2023 finalist spot, and a school trip to CERN in Geneva (04/2023).

Experience

03/2025 – present

Computer Science Subteam Leader

ÖzÜ Rover — İstanbul, Türkiye

Lead the computer science subteam and software development of the ÖzÜ Rover Team. Developed custom libraries in place of ROS 2 for autonomy, navigation, communication, and ground station software. Finalist, European Rover Challenge (Kraków, 8/2025) and Anatolian Rover Challenge.

11/2024 – 07/2026

Part-Time Software Specialist

Özyeğin University Information Technologies — İstanbul, Türkiye

Test newly developed internal projects and report on their security weaknesses.

07/2023 – 08/2023

Lab Student

Özyeğin University — İstanbul, Türkiye

Designed a Surgical Assistant Robot as a high school research project.

Projects

ÖzÜ Rover — Autonomy & Control Software

Computer Science Subteam Leader · 03/2025 – present · github.com/Ozyegin-Planetary-Robotics-Laboratory

Software stack for a Mars-analogue rover, with custom libraries built in place of ROS 2: autonomy, navigation, communication, and ground station tooling built for competition conditions. Finalist, European Rover Challenge 2025 (Kraków) and Anatolian Rover Challenge 2025.

Surgical Assistant Robot

Lab Student, Özyeğin University, with Asst. Prof. Özkan Bebek · 07/2023 – 08/2023 · github.com/yigitoo/surgical-assistant-robot

High school research project designing a robotic assistant for surgical contexts, developed with Özyeğin University.

Course Projects

Custom RISC-V Computer on FPGA

EE 321 Microprocessors, Prof. H. Fatih Uğurdağ · with Ebubekir Taşcı · Verilog, RISC-V (RV32I) · github.com/salihburock/CustomRISCVComputerOnFpga

32-bit CPU built from scratch on a Tang Primer FPGA, no off-the-shelf processor IP, targeting RISC-V (RV32I) for a standard GCC toolchain. Runs the original DOOM (1993) bare-metal. Includes a VGA controller, PS/2 keyboard input, DDR3 memory controller, SPI-flash DMA bootloader, and an instruction-prefetch pipeline.

Simulation2PINN

EE 302 AI-based Digital Signal Processing, Prof. Cenk Demiroğlu · Python, MuJoCo, PyTorch

Term project: a deterministic 2D physics simulation environment built to generate benchmark datasets for Physics-Informed Neural Networks. Implements a ball-drop scenario with configurable collision restitution and a book-edge scenario for rigid-body rotation, exporting reproducible state trajectories (position, velocity, angle, angular velocity). In progress: automatic generation of the PINN's data/PDE loss formulation as the physical setup changes.
